Already have your something blue, how about a cake shaped as a sand castle or a vision of the setting sun. If you aren't looking for such a literal translation of the beach, find a small sandcastle cake topper or use flowers that are vivid orange, red, yellow, and pink to create the illusion of the sun setting on your cake.

It may be tough to showcase your beach cake for the duration of your wedding. Most cakes need a relatively cool temperature, if not refrigeration. If you are looking for something that can stand the heat, talk to your baker about your options. One thing is for sure; no one will be eating sand at your wedding!
